youngy_11
For a 4x2x2ft tank is it essential to get double globe lighting? thanks youngy
Josh
It depends on how deep you want the light to go. I have found that the double globes light the bottom of the tank better, But I like a bright tank

GTR73
I recently replaced my single globe light with a double on my 4' x 18" x18" display tank, and it made a huge difference. If you can grab one second-hand even better. But just one word of advice - measure up your tank first. Some of the lights available with twin globes can be quite bulky so make sure is won't be that big it covers your glass lid access, or is too big for a hood. I was thankful I measured mine properly and didn't dive in on the $30 second-hand bargin I found. And take a tape measure with you to the shop. I might be stating the obvious but I can see how people could get themselves in a bit of a pickle!
