Matty
I just thought I'd show off my display tank. It looks great at night with the lights off.
novafishy
Very nice! is that long piece of wood at the top floating? or is it attached to the side? In the 3rd picture, did you take out the horizontal wood at the bottom of the tank?
teflon
That looks excellent Just make sure the shark doesn't eat your fish
Matty
novafishy, the third pic is actually one of the first pics that I took of the tank. There are 2 pieces of wood floating, but in the other 4 pics, 1 piece has sunk. Did I explain that right??

darkmuncan
i like! how big is that? any chance of some pics of the internal setup and access? i.e. filtration
Matty
darkmuncan, the tank is 6x2x2. Here are a few pics of the internal setup. If I had of been more educated when we built the house, I would have had a drip filter underneath , but I never have any problems with what I've got. BlakeyBoyR
Not a fan of the shark or car, but a very nice tank all the same. Do you find the blue light washes out the colours of the fishes somewhat?
BaZ
A blue light will actually enhance a lot of cichlid colours. I once experimented with using actinics over my display tank, and found that 1 actinic to 4 normal tubes was a great result. Nice and bright, and the blues on the fish were amazing!
