wazza
Could some one please assist in listing a few different foods that i can feed to my bn to get them to breeding condition apart from Zuchini and Algae wafers. I am desperate to get these breeding but nothing is happening as of yet. What else can i feed them to get them into breeding condition?
Link2Hell
Hi Wazza You need to feed them grazing foods like the Zuchinni an Pumpkin but also suppliments to give them protien and added nutrition I find that Orca pellets are a good suppliment type food for them and the price is very reasonable compared to the name brands through the NSWCS trade table They will feed on protein and vege based foods so consider making a frozen home mix Check Alans article here Auscat Articles site L2H
Alan
Mine also get "pussy bickies" couple of times a week. Yep, cat food, when I cook zuchinis or pumpkin I poor the hot vegie water over a cupfull of Friskies and let them soak and cool. Food for my Giant Gouramies, and the bristles get thier share couple of times a week Alan

Alan
Edward, After they have beens soaked they are soft and sink straight off. The BN often see the bickies sinking and come up off the bottom and grab them as they sink Alan
