[-fireStorm-]
I had a sort-of easy night...finished work at 11:30PM, watched the fireworks on the way home. Got home, turned the computer on and started drinking! -Shaun

BaZ
We were a little disappointed by the fireworks this year too. Maybe that's because we were watching them from Woodford and there was a bit too much cloud cover Previous years have been much more spectacular.... fiona
We were in the city yesterday. I'd kind of forgotten about it being New Years Eve until we walked into the Darling Harbour entrance near the Ent. Cent. and saw fences and gates and security guards searching everyone! In the D. harbour itself was a large pontoons full of fireworks ready to go off. We caught a ferry from the aquarium back to circ. quay (via some north side stops) and saw lots of people setting up with rugs, people with boats, etc. When my youngest child is older it would be fun to watch the fireworks from the water. My sister and I were thinking maybe we should rope our boats together to make a kind of pontoon of our own! Although apparently it gets a bit dangerous on the water with idiots making fools of themselves and endangering others. Maybe not so bad for the earlier show. Anyway, all the best for the new year to everyone.
