Willy Wombat
It was a little bit nerve wracking getting these photos, as these sharks have been known to bite divers on occasion.

Ducksta
Awesome Willy... Hmm that sounds kinda funny... Careful of the Wobby's they'll give you a good gumming if your not careful
Willy Wombat
Careful of the Wobby's they'll give you a good gumming if your not careful ← They actually have reasonably large teeth for their size Ducksta. Can deliver a paiful wound through a wetsuit. One of their nasty habits is that they will not let go after they bite. They latch on like a pitbull. Not to be confused with a gummy shark. Ducksta
Yea I am actually quite familar with Wobbegong. Knew they had teeth, they often take baits meant for big fish - not as annoying as rays though. I have snorkelled around them too. Didn't know of that particular habit though, always found them very placid, although we always leave them well enough alone.
Willy Wombat
although we always leave them well enough alone. ← Very smart move Ducksta. For some reason divers like to pull their tails, which results in problems as they are flexible enough to turn around and bite their own tail - a rare ability in the elasmobranch world. BlakeyBoyR
Beautiful shark and nice pics. I have a decent photo of a 'gongs open mouth in a book somewhere around here. Definately not a set of dentals you'd want to be on the wrong side of!
