Sexing cichlids.

The fish I have sexed are my Tropheus moorii Kasanga Red Rainbows.

Out of twenty fish there seems to be 9 males, 8 females and 3 unknown.

From the pictures below, do you think I got it right?

The vent closest to the tail is the one we are looking at. In females the vent closest to the tail should be larger in the females eg. o0 than the males oo.

I have tried sexing them before but they weren’t sexually mature then. There are still three I can’t sex yet. This is because they are smaller than the others and not sexually mature, I hope.. Fingers crossed those three are females.

Who not to ask you mean.

I think as long as they are sexually mature they are easy. I tried sexing the ones I got of you when I got them and several month later again and couldn't tell. However now they have breed a few times it's easy. Not sure if it is right. :8
