OscarTerror
Can anyone tell me any information about these fish? Can they be kept in a freshwater aquarium? I have recently caught a few in brackish water and would love one in my tank Thanks Az
katanaone
that is definately a fish that lives on the border of ugly and beautiful. i love them but unfortunately have no information on them besides the fact that i have caught a few of them (fishing) because they swallowed my sinkers! anchar
i have caught a few of them (fishing) because they swallowed my sinkers! smart fish I am pretty sure that rock cod do not prosper (or adapt) in freshwater. They will survive in brackish water but are essentially a marine environment fish. merjo
E4G13M4N
Rock cod are mainly marine, and venture into brackish water for short periods. To this point i have never seen or caught one past the brackish tidal areas.
OscarTerror
that is definately a fish that lives on the border of ugly and beautiful. I agree, at first I thought how ugly they were but the more I looked at it the more I was intrigued I caught another on Friday night and have it in my tank at the moment which has had a fair bit of salt added, he seems happy enough at the moment. They really are a cool fish, the armoring on them is awesome and its ability to camouflage, I have found it hard to find in the tank
