cichlidfishbreeder
Congrads on the fry it s a good feeling knowing that u are doin something right. If it was me i would make up a fry saver then set up your two ft tank and allow it to cycle that way once the fry r a bit bigger u will have somewhere to put them. Ducksta
Yea leave her in a fry saver to release. And move the fry into a 2' once they are strongly swimming. Now that they are breeding - try and stop them

Ducksta
Leave her as long as you feel comfortable. 12-15 days should be plenty, and hopefully she will release after not too long in the floaty. Since she is young/first timing it, I would leave her apart from the colony to regain some weight and condition as she probably wont eat for 3 weeks. It might be a good idea to make two floaties so you can seperate her from fry when she releases
fishinboots
Hey I went to kmart to get a hot glue gun but they had none so I checked out TEKS (cheapo store) and they had one and I got it. The glue smells pretty bad, is it safe to use that? What if the cheap glue is dodgey -.-
Ducksta
You should be using aquarium safe silicon IMO. Some people have reported that hot glue works fine, but why risk it? As you say the smell is offputting to say the least. Selleys and Fullers both make silicone that is definately hazard free and it isn't too costly. cichlidfishbreeder
Try freshly hatched baby brineshrimp or if your not into that i use crushed nutrafin tablets but u can also just crush some flake or pellets up really fine.
