finnas
hi,i've got a question about the placement of panels when building glass aquariums. I have a standard 4 foot glass tank that has all panels positioned on the outside of the tank base instead of the top. My plan is to strip off the 18 year old silicone so that all the panels are separate, and glue the tank up again. If I assemble the tank panels as I found them (on the outside of the base pannel) what will be the disadvantages. Thanks
onlyme
There would be no disadvantages. There are no advantages to assembling the sides on the base. You would need to re size the ends and this is impractical. I reckon there are no tanks assembled on the base. I also wonder if there are any advantages to re silconing the tank, if it aint broke dont fix it ?
