noyd
Hi, I just added a new bristlenose, been about 1/2 hours, it's just stuck on the glass not moving, is this normal? is it trying to get used to the new water?cheers

Brett4Perth
Hi Noyd,This is normal behaviour for bristlenose, they can spend long periods just hanging on the glass but usually they prefer a less exposed position to rest. Is there any sheltered areas in the tank? He will probably seek these out once he becomes accustomed to his new home. Brett

noyd
It might have been 4", it was for $20, either this shop doesn't know how much they go for, or, me or you are wrong, heh.I never said it was male, I did not know what it was, and yeah I swapped it for two Clown Loaches.I'm in the process of cycling a new bigger tank, I will definatly get atleast 2 BN's, they are fantastic, it just freaked me out when I had the big one, I thought it did not like the water conditions etc, so I took it back quickly before any chance of it dieing (smart or bad move?), I did not do my homework on them as I am even new to Cichlids, I seen them at the shop and thought wow, cool... I'll give one ago and picked the biggest one there is (typical), hehe.Cheers
Matt88
Never buy Bns from lfs's they are such a rip off. i paid $20 for 2 breeding sized pairs (4-5inches) and they have spawned 3 times since ive had them. so when you go to buy more go to a breeder. PLEASE!!Matt
