abob
Hi All, My pair of Cacas have been showing off to each other the last week or so after laying eggs that produced 15 free swimming fry a month ago. The female seemed to be checking out a number of spawning locations : under a rock, under and under a couple of of half flower pots. She had to swim horizontal along the gravel to enter one of them so I thought I'd open up the entry a little. While I did I noticed a clutch of around 50 small white eggs right at the back of the pot. I think I have read that if they go white they are infertile. Is that correct? She is still guarding them. If they are, what is the likely cause? The tank is a 250L, 4ft tank with 2 Blue Rams, 2 A. Cacatuoides, 2 Leopard Livebearers, 10 Corys and 1 10cm Sailfin Pleco. Ph~ 7.0 (I lost the colour chart so I can't tell exactly), GH 180ppm, KH low, Temp 25dgC. This is a marginally higher pH and GH than when they last produced fry. Thanks, Dean
