ClownBoy
My sara ate a rubber band!!! i dont know how it got in there but my old man told me he saw the sara swallow the whole thing! it happened yesterday so me and my bro caught him and tried to see if it was still lodged inside but he had swallowed it whole!! he seems to be eating a few pellets here and there but doesnt have the same appetite it used to... am i wrong to think that if he contines to eat then he will be fine??? Thanks!
r.d.m
crikey! unless youre willing to cut him open all you can do is wait and see ,the first thing i would do is stop feeding him if food builds up inside him itll go rotten and kill him for sure ireckon depending on his size hell probablydigest it but dont feed him for at lest a week .good luck keep us posted

ZULU
I would "band" him from food for a couple of days. Once he passes it he will "spring" back no problems, we hope.

ireland
If the fish still hasnt passed it, and starts to show signs of ill health, I know epsom salts baths are sometimes used to help fish with gut blockages. Someone else may have more of an idea than that though. Matt
