Ben Posted December 3, 2003 Share Posted December 3, 2003 If it’s just a cloudy eye then with a little Melafix it should clear up in a few weeks.If it is swollen also then your best bet is to take the fish out of the main tank and move it to a smaller tank and dose it with some medication from your LFS. There is lots of different stuff on the market. I had a female foai scratch her eye and it went cloudy and swelled up also. I took her out and moved her into a 2 footer on her own. I dosed her with Melafix straight away and then after a few hours I treated the tank for a week with General Cure Powder which they say will treat just about anything. Melafix is always a good chance though, as if the problem's not severe enough to warrant an eye loss, the melafix can clear it up in as fast as a couple of days.
