Help I'm got brown algae hair

Hi guys,

Does anyone know how to kill off brown hair algae,it growing all over my river stone rocks, coral rubles and coral sands?

I'm currently using seachem phosguard however I'm not noticing any difference when testing Po4.

On top of that I've also done 70% water changes and I'm starting to cover my fish tank so that no light enters through it.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Bristlenose normally control that algae quite well, Water conditions usually caused by overfeeding is often the cause (high nitrates)

Cut the light down to 6 or 8 hours might help also but I'd be looking at your feeding as the main cause. Try lightly feeding for a week or 2 and see if you see any difference.
