dimitymp
Our electric blues decided to breed yesterday first time and we didnt realise they were going to do it and this morning we have noticed all the other fish in the tank are harassing her. Is it alright to move her to another tank? We dont have a tank big enough to move the others but we have one big enough for her. Would moving her cause her to lose the eggs? Thanks in advance. CichlidProfessional
It should be ok...Some fish do spit the eggs out when their moved but most hold...Alot of people do move holding females to other tanks (or even net breeders, but they are abit small) to release the fry...Otherwise you could use a sieve or egg tumbler to hatch the eggs...If its the fish' first batch, she may not hold anyway, some females take a few batches to get it right, while other are just always bad breeders
