Tanks Seams Bowing

Picked up a standard 4ft tank from Dalbarb around a year ago. Noticed that on both ends of the tank, the glass is bowing. However it's not in the centre of the panels, but along the seams with the front panel. Both end on the front side of the tank are having the issue. At the top and bottom of the joint there is no deflection the the joint is flush. However in the centre, one side has a 1mm deflection, the other end of the tank has a 2mm deflection and extends around 1/2 the hight of the joint.

Should I be worried? Ringing Dalbarb tomorrow to see what they can do for me. Tank is just out of its 1 year warranty, but would they still be able to help?

Cheers,

Dave

I read and re-read your post trying to picture the issue and I think I know what you are talking about.

Glass tanks can bow depending on the amount of bracing. I would contact Dalbarb to seek advice and peace of mind particularly if it is a sudden change.
