TimB
Yeah, he probably has just sucked in too much air when feeding or jumping....
damoq
This is a common problem for frontosa and even to the point where some frontosa breeders have had to put plastic egg crate just under the surface of the water so the fish cannot take a big gulp of air! It is a common belief that once the fish gulps air it thinks it is holding eggs and of course won't take in much food and eventually will lose weight and become very skinny and eventually die!You could try and catch the fish and hold it face up under the water and the air might release out of its mouth but there is no guarantee it won't just go up and gulp more air!Hope this helps a bit,Cheers,Damo
