Lurker
Ok, everytime i introduce a new batch of neons into my tank i seem to lose half of them. I know my ph is a little high, (about neutral) but because of the shellgrit in the substrate it wont go any lower. The water quality i assume is good, i have bristlenose breeding in there all the time. The first batch of neons have bred because there's two or three fry about 5mm longin there. (how old would these be?) Any ideas? Thanks, Dave
E4G13M4N
There has been some fairly ordinary neons getting around health wise :o The best way ive found is to place them in the tank with the PH between 5.5 and 6then slowly raise the pH to where you want it ..But having shell grit in your tank wont help as the KH is probably not quite right for them

Lurker
No thats it. One pair of bristle nose and around twenty neons. How many neons could i keep in a three foot?
Barca888
You can keep a decent amount of Neons in a 3 footer if you havent taken most of the swimming space with plants like me in my 3 footer. Around 30-40 would do well if you look after your tank well.
Kribbie
Yea...I reckon it's up to your choice for putting how many tetras in a 3 footer, as long as the tank is not too over-stocked. I've found a picture from another forum, it's just like a big traffic jam!!! hahahaaha~~~~ :
