Ads Posted April 19, 2004 Share Posted April 19, 2004 Hi All, I have very little experience growing plants, in fact I'm surprised the one I have is still alive! I plan on getting many more because they make the tank look so awesome. So does anyone of you experienced hobbyists in the Sydney area grow and sell plants that grow in lowish light (I only have a single 4' fluro tube for my 4' tank), or know of fish shops that sell them fairly cheap? I checked out my LFS but $15 for a tiny java fern seemed a bit pricey (then again, I could be wrong...maybe I just undervalue plants???) a_devis Posted April 19, 2004 Share Posted April 19, 2004 I think that even one 4' is good for most of the plants if it has right spectrum. I use "Power-Glo" and have no problems, although I don't have anything fancy. I throw away heaps of plants when I clean my tanks. Which area you are? I could give you some. mianos Posted April 19, 2004 Share Posted April 19, 2004 Have a look on the internets for 'anubias' species. There are attractive, hardy and will grow in low (or high) light.
