boydie
Hey all I'm thinking of using some plastic drums for some rainbows and putting them outside and I'm wondering how much water they will hold after I cut them down to size so I'm wondering how to measure the volume of a drum Cheers Marty
noxious_nasties
Volume = pie X Radius of drum squared X height of drum. John
MelbBill
Hey all I'm thinking of using some plastic drums for some rainbows and putting them outside and I'm wondering how much water they will hold after I cut them down to size so I'm wondering how to measure the volume of a drum Cheers Marty Half the diameter of the drum squared times the height times 3.14. So if diameter is 20 cm and the height is 100 cm the volume is: 20/2*20/2*100 *3.14 = 10 * 10 * 100 * 3.14 = 31400 cubic centimetres = 31.4 litres
