markfnq
just wondering what is the best t5 globes to use to give a crisp white light. On my 10x2x2.5 i am running a bank of 6 t 5 28 watt [ i think ] osram globes and the light seems a little yellow. not sure whether to up the wattage or mix and match other globes. i am just using the globes that came with the tank at the moment but would certainly like something a bit crisper. any advice always appreciated. regards .....mark
mattrox
look at the colour temp. 10000K is bright white, 18000k is a bit blueish. 6500k is 'daylight' and can look yellow in the tank. Most effective lighting would have a mix of colour temperature.
