noyd
I have two breeding convicts, and two other convicts in a floating tray, if I let them in there (the ones in the tray are a bit smaller) would they get murdered? Right now the male won't leave the tray alone.. so I think I will wait until the fry can swim and then swap the fry with the convicts in the tray, and then watch them go at it.
Richard
Hey Noyd,I advise you not to let them 2 new ones out cause since the other 2 are breeding the male would be pretty agressive... so yeh i guess they would ge murdered!Jus keep them in the net atm and make a new fry saver for the convict fry. Its not hard jus look in the DIY section of sydneycichlid.comcheersRichard
noyd
if I remove the two convicts from the tank (the parents, I have already taken the eggs off them and put them in the fry saver), and put them back in along with the new fish, would they still be aggressive?Would they need to re gain territory? Will they be more kind to the other fish?Cheers
Exiledonmainstreet
Being the dominant fish, the convicts will get back their territory. It will definitely help to have all the fry out of the tank, hence there will be no need to protect them.
