Trace21
We recently gave my parents a female congo tetra, and then they brought her a mate now she has one hell of a bellie on her i was wondering how they breed? While we had her she never had a big bellie but now she looks like she might pop! she seems to be happy and healthy, with no signs of any disease's in the tank that she is in. Cheers Trace

Colfish
hi trace she will need a small cave [flowerpot] in which she will lay her eggs. if in a community tank you will need to remove when hatched to a small tank regs colfish; hi wes correct on all counts;

The males have brighter colour (much brighter, although if you look at most fish shop males you wouldn't know...), have that black-tipped-with-white split in its tail (which has a long extension in the mid-section), whereas the females are mainly bronze (with some flashes of colour) with an unsplit normal shaped tail.
