MelbBill
AI has some blue angelfish in stock at the moment (and they are real stunners) but there is very little information on them other than they have been imported. I wonder if anyone has any information on them that they can pass on about the fish. They are NOT dyed fish BTW they are not at all cheap
Barracuda
Why, how much do they cost? I have seen some pictures - they do look stunning!
MikeWs Fish
Theyre a line bred genetic mutation. They aren't that blue they just have a blue sheen in the right light. They look like normal scalare angels with a slight blue sheen. Hope this helps, Mike.
Barracuda
mike, is it true that it can occur randomly, for example in a batch of angels only one will display the blue gene? or is it bred specifically?
MikeWs Fish
I dont know. Perhaps there were one or two freak fish out of lots and lots and then the fish were line bred. Perhaps the gene was isolated and then other fish were modifed to have this gene, i'm not sure. Mike.
MelbBill
Mike These fish I have seen have an intense blue colouration over part of their actual body. And they seem to have diamond cross in there somewhere
