Difference between rift lake conditioner and carbonate hardness generator

Hi all

My question is basically what the title is....whats the difference bwteen the two and would you use them at the same time in the same tank?

First of all comes down to the brand you use. Carbonate hardness generator does that it raises and stabilizes the Kh. Rift lake conditioner does this as well as add missing minerals and salts for want of a better word to the tank. The rift lake also helps add to the ph. But once again depends on the brand to what it does.

One mistake we do make is using the same things for tangs and malawi fish.

Tangs require more sodium based products than malawi, and malwi require mostly calcium based buffers.
