A friend of mine recently moved houses, one of his mature male frontora has developed 'FLOAT'.

It can swim but it seems to float to the top of the tank.Has anyone experienced this, and is there any cure.

Any advise or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I know of one person who did what the article suggests - as in inserting the tip of a needle to release the air. It was successful but is tricky to do and can just as easily result in the frontosas swim bladder being punctured or the fish killed.

When ever my frontosas have developed float I throw epson salt in the tank. I was told to do this by a very well known frontosa breeder who swears by it. Look up that and give it a go! I can't remember the dosage for sure but if I remember right it was one 250ml cup per 500L
