mcloughlin2 Posted May 24, 2009 Share Posted May 24, 2009 Lava rock is suitable for cichlids as it is pretty chemically inert. The only problem being that it is quite sharp so if you have large cichlids prone to darting there is sometimes problems (ie Frontosas) as they can injure themselves.
