Hi all.

i have, almost to be had, a few plants in a few cichlid tanks. they are dieing back, just like the last lot did :cryblow: . losing leaves, tips going black. any help would be most welcome.

thanks

Deb

What plants (species) are you keeping ? And are you dosing any fertilizer ?

Being a cichlid tank, does your pH range around 7-8 ?

Theres your problem...Aluminium plant isnt an aquatic plant..some dodgy LFS sell non aquatic plants to put in your tank....when you buy plants for your tank make sure you ask them if its an aquatic plant....Aluminium plants will ALWAYS eventually die underwater...no amount of fertilising or light or ph will make this plant survive underwater....its a bit like putting a palm tree in your tank and expecting it to live, or putting a fish in your back garden and expecting it to do well... :).

Regards

Mike
