Sarah Posted March 16, 2004 Share Posted March 16, 2004 did you see the parents when buying the fish, perhaps give the breeder a call if you can and just ask him what he feeds his fish if it is food related, good quality yellows are hard to find in my opinion ,most lfs here in Melbourne have really poor quality ,patchy in colour, pale or have black bars on the body Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

maru Posted March 17, 2004 Author Share Posted March 17, 2004 Thanks guys for your input,i breed the yellows,probably numbering 200 by now.i increased in spirulina as my yellows were starting to get very pale(almost white)but over 2 month with osi spirulina (contains protein),spinach and broccoli they came up great(clean and bright yellow).by the way the parents are from different sourses and prime fish may be i have just plain over did it,i try more protein Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
