gianniz
awesome article about my puffer... i can't believe i have to trim their teeth every 6months or so or they will die! ps i have given a live worm first it didn't do anything, but my yoyo and clown loach started pecking on it for few mintues without much damage to the worm. then all of the sudden my puffer rushes in and chomp chomp chomp, within 10 seconds it was shreaded into 10 pieces! lol it was like pirana but more cuter http://www.thepufferforum.com/forum/librar...s-in-focus/sap/
E4G13M4N
Although they are sold as freshwater puffers from my experiences and others i know, they dont seem to live long in captivity. They tend to need to be able to move into estuary conditions frequently and even back to salt water. Kept in fresh alone they tend to live 3 - 8 months.. Not sure how others have found them
gianniz
yup i spent like 10 hours researching and found my puffer is the Marilyna darwinii (banded toasfish) apparently they are salt water fish but tend to gointo brackish and fresh. though as they get older it is recommended a full marine if I see his not going well I will contact a my who has braskish so will move him to that... else i might ccreate a mini brackish with archer fish etc ps i have it with kuli loaches and it doesn't bother them at all infact, it eats with it
