Peppermint

Going by Ingo's new book L181 is also a very good candidate for our peppermint.

I am becoming more and more sceptical of what we have as being L183 as from all reports it is a blackwater species of Ancistrus which can be very difficult to breed in mains water and retains the white seam into adulthood. Also the number of soft dorsal rays differs. When I pull apart my big tank I am going to keep them seperate and have a good look at their anatomy in adult form.

Either way I still do this alot :dntknw::confused::dntknw::roll

Cheers,

Brett

the closest pictures at planetcatfish is L183

however people think when the fish entered the country it was hybridised earlier on, well something happened as they are not exactly the same as L183

or mabe we have a certain genetic trait in australia
