kingfisher
Hi, Freshwater shrimps prefer the cooler temperature of our community tank! i.e 20*c to 24*c would be ideal with pH 6.5-7. But most importantly no Nitrite or Ammonia. Have a look at this site http://www.shrimpfanatics.com/shrimp-intro.html You should try out the cheaper glass varieties or even Cherry shrimps to get a feel before jumping into CRS as they are readily available and cheaper! I feed mine on crab recipe from Hikari, Squash and occasianal blanch spinach have a 2 foot tank which i want to set up a shrimp tank.
