Alex
I don't think you will have much luck keeping multiple jacks in a tank that size. Probably better off just getting one. They can be quite agro!

Rumpig
Jacks are amazing fish and get to know their owners by sight. My jack could distinguish between me and everyone else who stood infront of the tank which I was quite impressed by (he'd be up the top of the tank for me and hide for everyone else). I would have like to get another one but oneone seemed to have any when I was looking. (saw some grossly over priced ones recently). They are deffinately one fish per tank though. Their aggression has to be seen to be believed! Cheers Mick
petshopdude
i would recommend only one per tank, however i have set up a tank for a bloke who wanted a couple in his tank, i also mixed a few grren terrors, festae and convicts, also had a couple of plecos in there, the tank start all sweet with the jack going good together then a few bites on the fish where noticed a few months later then a couple went missing then one jack killed the other then the other one died, the guy wasn't a hugh fish person so he wasn't keeping the tank A1 condtions i have also sen a clip of a pond where there where heaps of jacks togerther in a pond, so yeah going by that i would say it might be possible, but they are mean fish with big teeth, and they are not a cheap fish to 'experiment' with, the guy i did the tank for had more money then sences
mcsx
yeh but the thing with a pond is its massive.. lol i reckon it could be done i mean they live in the wild together? when i fish for jack i mean you can see in the mangroves that they are bunched together in the dark deeper pits i just wanted a few i guess it would be ideal to have a monster tank for something with a fair few of them i was just thinking it would look amazing to make myself some fake mangrove roots in my tank then other bits and peices to make it look like a true environment and have a group in there with a deepwater effect so it looks a bit darker
petshopdude
i guess the main thing is price, i mean if you have money to burn go for it but i wouldbe pretty bummed if i woke up and found one had killed another, i mean they are like over 100 bucks now last i saw, i think it will only go up
mcsx
ahh its not that id rather just not really put a fish into a tank and see it get killed id rather the fish have a better life than to let it be slaughtered so yeh i think ill skip the idea i dont think its possible unless you had a really huge tank like 12x4x3 ft or something
