agro77 Posted February 6, 2004 Share Posted February 6, 2004 Hi there I was considering building a new hood for my tank, currently I have 4 x 4 foot fluros, Tri phos in all, I wanted to try ;- 1 High pressure sodium or 2 Metal Halides. Was thinking 400w horizontal burn globes in a 4000k What are peoples recommendations ? Here are the models I'm looking at 12005 and 12015 http://www.hydromasta.com.au/framespage.htm using the following globes 12501 Can anyone recomend any other places for this type of lighting?? b3dlam Posted February 6, 2004 Share Posted February 6, 2004 Agro77, If your tank is 4ft long, you should really consider having a look at the new Jebo MH lighting. It has 2 x 150w D.E MH and 2 PC in a very nice looking fixture. It can definitely be mounted under a canopy if its well ventilated. Its more than sufficient for most taller tanks. Noticed that you are from melb....Have you been to boronia aquariums lately?
