jaz1986
I have 1 male and 1 female murray river rainbow fish with excellent colours in the male... they are both about 10cm long. What do i need to do to get them to breed? what should i feed them for day to day and for breeding? I have no experience in rainbowfish... and most stuff i can find is for the warm water rainbowfish... so all help will be much appreciated!!! Thanks!!! E4G13M4N
Feed em up on love foods as in live brine shrimp, mozzie larvae, black worms, small earth worms, as for spawning you can use java moss, or any fine leaf plant for that matter. You can also make up some spawning mops.. remove the eggs each morning or they will be eaten
23Skidoo
From the research i've done, rainbows spawn in the morning or evening and they love a good thick wad of plants. Mine try to breed in my cichlid tank and when they are in the mood they don't stray to far from the plants.
