OziOscar
Hey PGR... Out your way, try skulking around some of the older properties in the area that may have had a slate roof. You might be able to score some for nix. It's not thick, but if you drill and bolt it (better done wet with a masonry bit at low RPM) or silicon it you could make some nice structures. You might need to head in Bathurst way (think 'Abercrombie House') or over to Cowra or (eeeek!!) Hill End. Cheers - OziOscar.
