Richard
Nice fish, I really like your substrate. What are you using?
Rod54
It's a very fine sand. I was at a lfs that specializes in ponds and native fish and noticed it in a display tank. I asked the owner about it and he said it was fine but heavy so it didn't cloud the water....but it buffered the water alkaline.....I said perfect....and bought a 20kg bag and now have it in 4 of my shellie tanks. Seems to work well and the shellies Love moving it around. I have noticed the fish in those tanks seem to have more intense colour....perhaps its just the colours aren't washed out by the glare of a white(calcium carbonate) substrate.
