FREAQ
HI there I havent had fish for very long and was wondering whats the difference between PH (possibility of Hydrogen) and CH (Carbonate Hardness)? Is there anyone out there who knows!!!
trofius
Hi ph is the acidity of th ewater related to the proportion of avaliable hydrogen ions and how they are bound. Ch is nothing i have ever heard of lol Kh is carbonate hardness, refers to th eamount of carbonate present in the water, carbonate has an effect on the pH as the free oxygen binds to free hydrogen resulting in less free hydrogen, and there fore less acidity and an increase in pH
