Ant Posted January 21, 2004 Share Posted January 21, 2004 (With full understanding of the effect of hybrids) why is it that bettas are included in this forum (not knocking bettas, i love them). Most if not all of our betta species are hybiridised over more than two species (i.e Betta Splendan x Betta Imbellis x Betta Smaragdina), that is how they formed different tail styles and colours i the first place. I personally dont see the differance between being able to have a Discus forum and a Betta forum.... YeW Posted January 22, 2004 Share Posted January 22, 2004 Anthony - There is no restriction on discussing hybrids. Only on trading them. The betta forum is for all labyrinth fish - not just Bettas. Moreover - the hybrid policy of the SCP applies to cichlids (as we are a cichlid site). The labyrinth fish forum is here as a courtesy for those ppl who keep labyrinths . HTH - David.
