Kribbie
Does anyone know what cichlid is this? The owner of this fish said it is from Lake Tanganyikan.... Thanks alot.
wormboy
Never actually seen a live one before, but it looks like a Ctenochromis (Haplochromis) horei to me. If it is this fish, then yes it is a Tanganyican cichlid. -Mat-
Kribbie
Thanks Mat. Yep, I think you are right. It does looks like a Ctenochromis (Haplochromis) horei The owner said it is very aggressive so I was wondering if it is actually a Lake Victorian cichlid instead. .... ooops Anyway, thanks for your help. Eddie Salita
It does look like a vic hap, but where did vic haps come from...... I'd back it to be a horei too. Only ever seen them once before. Ditto to Trofius' questions. Nice looking fish. Cheers, Jason
