noyd
I have all kinds of food available but I want to give them something I know they can eat and won't leave behind, they are two 3cm black calvus, has anyone got experience or tips on how and what to feed them? elise007
i fed my Calvus at that size various foods from flake, live brine shrimp, pellets, tetra colour bits. Predomianntly it was just flake though now all are grown up and breeding. Mark
noyd
ahh yes, they seem to like the brine shrimp, I think I'll give them that until after they are ready to eat the flakes and colorbits. cheers
elise007
one thing i feed my baby fish is i actually got a mortar and pestle and put flake, color bits and any other dry foods i have and then grind them all into a fine powder. Then i actually feed the powder to the various fish i have and they can all eat it no problems, works very well. Just grind up a small amoutn at a time and keep in a relatively small container, i use a 25gram container and that lasts a fair while.
