compressiceps
Hi all, I've been feeding mine pellets and frozen brine shrimp to date. Now they are too big for the brine shrimp. Any suggestions on frozen foods or other readily available foods that i can feed my americans? Advice much appreciated, Henry
the cichlid kid
beef heart and earthworms are good alternatives when they get too big for brineshrimp and bloodworm.
Gcichlid
I hve 9 tanks of Americans, mostly large ( 20-35cm) and feed them the following. Live mealworms ( sparingly as they are very fatty although they all love them. Be careful feeding them mealworms more than occasionally however as they will refuse to eat anything else if you give them too often) Earthworms Large pellets ( Tetra make a great very large cichlid food called 'Arowana Sticks') Pieces of cooked chicken, white fish and prawn Hikari Gold cichlid staple pellets Nutrafin staple food tablets ( Red Devils, oscars, hartwegi, umbies etc swallow them whole) Cheers Nick
