Harry Morant
I came across some nice looking brown/bronze spotted pleco today which were apparently Plecostromus - I don't think I've seen these ones before. A nice looking fish - Are these a uncommon pleco or have I been looking in the wrong places?

teflon
Its hard to tell without a pic mate. Don't forget to ask permission from the LFS owner to take pics as he/she may just grab you by the scruff and show you the dorr
Harry Morant
I'll see how I go about getting a pic. As to the "r" you may well be rrrright.
Ant
If it is a plecostomus it will have 8 rays on the dorsal fin (i think?) and if it is a sailfin type (Glyptoperichthys sp) it will have 13 rays. Majority of these fish labeled as just plecostomus are actually Glyptoperichthys pardalis or Glyptoperichthys pardalis hybrids. Anthony
