noyd
it should not mess with the filtration enough to cause harm, ive used plenty of this stuff without problems. and as to treating one or all, its best to treat all, it won't harm the unsick fish and its best to just treat all anyway incase there is some kind of disease that could possibly spread to the unsick fish. nels87_o_O
Dave, since Melafix is a medication, remove any carbon in your filtration as it'll absorb the medication and it'll be a waste. Have you got a hospital tank or any other spare tank? say a 1ft or 2ft, then you can treat the damaged fish alone - so instead of treating a 200L tank or which ever size tank you have, your better off treating a 20L as you'll be using 1/10 of the amount for a 200L tank. Tam
whats the point in treating healthy fish with medication if they arent showing any symptoms of disease? i disagree - as medication can weaken a fish's own immune system..
