Dark Morelia
Hey all, Thought some of ya might be interested in these. I caught this Melanotaenia dubolayi near Ipswich. There was an awesome big male 12+cm but he disappeared so i couldn't get him And this is an interesting little thing, the locals call them "River Perch". They're obviously a Drum, closely related to Mulloway, but gorgeously gold. Now if i had a saltwater tank.... I was told they get to about 30cm, the biggest we got was around 25cm. They start to lose their goldness once they're out of the water, I snapped this one fairly quick, but it had still lost a bit. We were fishing off a pier one night and someone borrowed my gaff to land a shark, so i went to watch, and it turned out to be a 5ft Leopard Shark (also known as Zebra Shark) it was absolutely beautiful, but i'd forgotten my camera !!
