gizmo42au
I have a standard 4' tank that currently has 1 x black ghost knife ~10cm (i know he wil outgrow it but it may take awhile) 3 x bristlenose 2~7cm, 1~4cm 2 x Bolivian Rams These all seem to be bottom dwelling fish. I was wondering what would be some good midwater and upper level fish? I was thinking angels but Rae believed that the BGK would be too aggresive at night. Stats: pH: 7.4 Temp: 23 GH and KH are unknown Chosen power head, 1000lph 25% fornightly w/c
Ant
I agree, the BGK would be far to active at night for the angels. Perhaps something like festivum. Anthony
gizmo42au
Had a look at the festivums but thye are also a midle to bottom, i was looking more at a middle to top. Just had a thought would a school of bala sharks do alright? I guess id have 4-5 of them, my only problem is again their size. Will they get too big? Ant
If you want a top dweller you could get a butterfly fish. One of all time favourites are Pearl Gourami, grow to a nice size and are just beatiful fish. Anthony
stotto
I recently brought a couple of "gold Panchax" for my 3ft planted comunity and he never leaves the top. Maybe they might be the go.
gizmo42au
i totally forgot about the panchax, i did see them and wanted thm when i got my first tank, are panchax's a schooling fish? So you reckon the balas are a bad idea then?
novafishy
Panchax can become quite vicious when it comes to feeding time. Mine's tame and peaceful, but when it comes to feeding...its attacks its food. they have great awesome colouration too!
