mark_1
i was wondering if they would eat crushed color bits (they are free swimming)
Ant
They probably would, but it wouldn't be good to feed them color bits all the time. What else are you planing on feeding them? Crushed flakes, Frozen baby brine shrimp (or live), crushed pellets or some sort of ready made fry food such as ORCA would do the job. Ged
Have you considered other food sources like starting a microworm culture or feeding brine shrimp nauplii. The fry will appreciate these treats every so often. Gerard

DanceswithDingoes
Dont feed crushed tetrabits as a large granule can wedge their little mouths open and permanantly disfigure them. If the are recently spat then Sera Mikropan is a ground high protein flake that is ideal for tiny fry. A few weeks later progress to crushed cichlid flake. Supplement with frozen (or fresh) Instar2 bbs naupli when tiny and frozen mysis shrimp when they get a little larger. Waterchange as much as 20% per day if possible. Ant
Yea, SERA fry food is good. I used to use the 3 step SERA diet (for my fry..lol). 1 Sera Micron, 2 Sera Mikropan, 3 Sera micro-granuals. Anthony
