I am looking for a white fine (but not to fine) substrate for a display tank that is cheap and affordable and that I dont have to travel to sydney to get. catcher Posted May 26, 2005 Share Posted May 26, 2005 G'day FOzz, I know you didn't want a Sydney address but this place has crushed marble (great for buffering) in all sizes from dust to pebble size and cheap as chips, marble chips that is . rae Posted May 26, 2005 Share Posted May 26, 2005 I was at a guys place last weekend and he had a few tanks set up with a really fine white substrate like sand. I asked what it was and where he got it from and interestingly it was bird sand that they sell at all pet shops and apparently quite cheap! Worked for him and looked great too!
