Author: mudrat77

gianniz is right, i probably worded that wrongly, but you will find that parts of the shell will flake off from time to time.

I think all reptiles shed... not certain but doesn't seem too abnormal to me.

The flakeing of the shell *Skutes* isn't very noticeable in baby turtles
but when they are adults you can finish up with a tank full of thin square fragments.. To put it simple as the shell grows underneath the old layer flakes off .. Similar to a yabby but not in one peice

Author: slotha

How long will they keep sheding for(till they stop growing probaly)? The carapace is about 8-10cm. I have read that i should be adding some sort of Anti-fungus block which helps prevent alot of diseases. Is this true or are they pretty hardy and don't really need it?

Author: E4G13M4N

The Dr Turtle blocks can help in that area so can adding a little rock salt ..
If the water qualityand diet is good and you give them some sunlight and or UV generally you should never have a problem..
Shedding will occur as long as they are growing ..

Which type of turtle is it ?
