novafishy
here are some rather crappy pics of my Jardini. I find that he has an usual amount of spots on his tail. is this normal? also he is very much more darker and has gone a slight tinge of red in his body, compared to the many jardinis i have seen in shops. He is about 7" long TL. eats hikari pellets, frozen brine shrimp, frozen bloodworms and beefheart.

novafishy
Thanks Stephen and Justin. Do they normally have that many spots on the tail?
Alex
Jardini colouration can be highly variable. Yours looks like a regular jardini to me. I have seen them with far less spots, and more spots. Here is another example of a nice jar - http://kingsoftheaquarium.com/arowanas/jardini4-1.4.jpg
barnesy
nice fish. im thinking of getting one, can i ask what they are worth?
novafishy
You can buy a 10cm one for between $80 - $120. they are a very nice fish and they have great personality. THere are 2 variants. the Leichardti and the Jardini. I personally prefer the Jardini, as they resemble the asian arowana.
